Education liberates, and it's important to appreciate the efforts of students who have worked hard despite their circumstances. Last year, DMNT Foundation together with the Maryn Group recognized pupils, teachers and community elders.
Students who excelled in their class received cash gifts and certificates as an acknowledgment of their hard work and were encouraged to work hard. In addition, computers were donated to the school to enable them to have IT classes as part of their curriculum, the computer lab which is named after the DMNT Foundation is set to be operational as of January 2017. In addition, the community elders were given maize meal as their region had faced drought for most of the 2016 period.
